The party simply no longer has a platform that emphasizes the common good rather than the private good. Party faithful have been left to defend such absurd arguments as anti-science; anti-global warming; anti-cap and trade; anti-environment; anti-health insurance; anti-working class; anti-civil rights; anti-America; anti-U.S. Government; anti-social security; anti-Medicare; anti-regulatory agencies; and anti-intellectual to mention a few.
